Word Wildlife Day

World Wildlife Day falls on March 3 every year and reminds us that it is necessary to protect wildlife. Even in the Czech mountains and forests, you can find rare species of animals, which have been increasing in recent times, but it is still necessary to create suitable conditions for them to live.

The World Wildlife Day, celebrated on March 3rd, is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of protecting wildlife and their habitats. This year's theme is "Partnerships for Nature", highlighting the need for collaboration between governments, businesses, and individuals to ensure the conservation of biodiversity. The two main focus areas for this year are marine life and oceans, and trade and finance. Additionally, 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), which plays a crucial role in regulating international trade to prevent the extinction of species. The day provides an opportunity to celebrate successful partnerships and individuals making a positive impact in wildlife conservation.
